AetherPad is an iPad anesthesia record app integrated with a cloud backend system for backup, security and billing.

It is at once a stand-alone AIMS (Anesthesia Information Management System) ideal for the small surgery center setting as well as scalable to operate within a wireless network and the complexities of a large multi-specialty hospital.

Designed from the ground up by practicing anesthesiologists it is built starting from the user’s perspective towards the software, not the other way around. It therefore is truly intuitive, flexible and adapts to the user,…not the other way around.

Billing

As anesthesiologists we developed AetherPad to meet the daily needs of clinical practice and address the changing healthcare delivery landscape.

As a company we are founded on the intimate awareness of the needs of practicing anesthesiologists. We have created a culture of partnership willing to address the advancing needs of clinical practice.

We offer the AetherPad app and services to anesthesiologists and their groups for the opportunity to service their billing needs, either by partnering with their existing billing service or by utilizing one of our existing partner billing services. In this way there are no additional costs to the anesthesiologists and the cost reductions in overhead for claims processing increases efficiency and reimbursements.

Administrative

The practice of medicine today increasingly encumbers us with the task of managing adherence to regulatory guidelines and requirements; as if we are not busy enough in actual patient care. Yet without attention to these mundane but essential details of practice we can find ourselves in a administrative and regulatory nightmare. AetherPad is digital, it is a record keeping tool at its most refined and precise. It is embedded with user configured reminders and safeguards that prevent us from overlooking necessary quality measures and metrics. In addition digital also means custom configurable metrics management and statistical analyses of even the most elusive data.

Our backend system maintains a HIPPA compliance record of each procedure which can be accessed by anesthesiologists wherever they might be. It also serves as a director, forwarding the case documents to whatever billing agency the doctor has selected to handle cases, and maintains status information on each claim, relative to submittal to insurance company, payment status, denials, appeals, etc. We have built our software to satisfy the Meaningful Use EHR requirement of the Healthcare Reform Act 2009 (HITECH Act).
